Humble Beginnings

Damien Hirst: the physical impossibility of death in the mind of someone living
So here it begins the start of 'the rambling artist' rather fittingly coinciding with the coming of spring, hopefully signifying something fresh and new!

Art can mean so many things especially in today's society  it is no longer just paintings of celebrated people in the place of photographs nor statues of the highly commended elite. Its the 21st century and art means a whole world more than it once did which draws the debate- to what extent is art? are the boundaries limitless?

Personally I think growing up from the 90s was an important time; a time when art was pushing this boundary, artists such as Damien Hirst illustrated to us that art was not just paint on canvas but a concept left open for interpretation, maybe evolving into something to be discussed as well as just appreciated.
It is simply not just going to look at a piece of art then to go home satisfied, it SHOULD be something you look at and then proceed to think about all day- a buzz of rhetorical questions floating the spheres of the brain
